Mirror Sites and Safe Access
Search for a casino brand and you will often find "mirror" links: alternative addresses claiming to lead to the same site. Some are genuine; many are not. This page explains the difference and how to reach the operator safely.
What a genuine mirror is
A genuine mirror is the operator's own platform served from another address. The account, balance and history are the same, and you log in with the same details. Operators use alternative addresses when a domain changes or is temporarily unreachable. A mirror solves access, nothing else: it does not change which provinces the operator may serve or what its licence covers.
Where a real address comes from
Only from the operator itself: its official emails to registered players, its support chat, or the account area after login. Search results, social media posts, messaging channels and "mirror list" websites are not trustworthy sources. They are where phishing pages live — copies of a casino's design on a lookalike domain, built to collect logins and card details.
How to spot a fake
- The domain differs from the official one by a letter, a hyphen or an extra word.
- The page asks for card details or documents "to verify the mirror". A genuine mirror asks only for your usual login.
- The link reached you through an unsolicited message promising a bonus.
If the site will not load
Start with the ordinary causes: reload, clear the browser cache, try another browser or switch between Wi-Fi and mobile data. Browser extensions and stale DNS records cause more "blocked" sites than anything else. If the site is still unreachable, email the operator's support from your registered address and ask for the current official address. Never create a second account on another domain to get around a problem: duplicate accounts are closed under the terms.
A note on regulated access in Canada
If a site will not load because it is not available in your province, a mirror is not a workaround — it is the same operator with the same restrictions. In Ontario, the regulated market is listed in iGaming Ontario's directory; elsewhere, the provincial lottery corporation's site is the regulated option.
