Theo Brassard, Live Casino and Odds Editor
Theo writes and edits the parts of this site where rules and arithmetic matter most: live dealer studios, the house edge of table games, and the way sports prices and margins are built.
What Theo covers
- Live dealer formats and game shows, including how betting windows and bonus layers work.
- Rules and house edge of roulette, blackjack and baccarat.
- Sports pricing: odds formats, implied probability, margins and how parlays compound them.
- The provincial picture in Canada, and the sources behind it.
How Theo works
Theo starts from published sources rather than impressions. For a game, that means the studio's own page or launch coverage, and the game's in-game help panel. For the law, it means the dated sources recorded in our fact base — Ontario's market opening date, the iGaming Ontario directory, the provincial help lines. Every figure he publishes has to trace back to one of those; if it cannot, the page says "not on record". He would rather leave a gap than print a number a reader might rely on.
On the sports pages he shows the arithmetic: every example price is converted into a probability, and every margin is calculated in the open, so readers can check it with a phone calculator.
What Theo will not write
He does not describe any operator as legal or licensed in a province without a source, does not publish bonus offers, and does not state payment times or limits that belong to the operator. He is not a lawyer, and nothing he writes is legal advice. Nor does he claim insider access to studios or operators; his work is reading, calculating and explaining.
Editorial independence
The site earns commission through partner links, as explained on the affiliate disclosure page. That arrangement has no influence on Theo's pages: game facts are what the sources say, the maths is what the maths says, and weaknesses stay in the text.
Responsible gambling
Every guide Theo edits points to limits and to help. If gambling stops being fun, the responsible gambling page lists help lines by province, including ConnexOntario for Ontario.
Sources Theo returns to most
For the provincial picture: iGaming Ontario's directory of regulated operators, the AGCO's bulletins, and the provincial lottery corporations' own sites, each checked on a recorded date. For games: the studios' product pages and launch announcements, and the in-game help panel, which is the final word on any version a reader actually sees. For sports: the published rules of each market type, because settlement rules decide more disputes than predictions do.
Contacting Theo
Corrections to any of Theo's pages can be sent to info@casinoinstant.biz with the page address. He cannot help with operator accounts, but he does read every note about an outdated fact.
